Chong Kim Chiew has spent four decades developing a singular visual language rooted in observation. Working primarily in oil and watercolour, his paintings move between intimate still-life and quiet architectural studies, often returning to the surfaces, edges and ordinary objects that frame daily life.
His work has been exhibited across Malaysia and the wider region, including the National Art Gallery (Kuala Lumpur), Penang Museum & Art Gallery, and G13 Gallery. In 2018 he was awarded the Established Artist category at the UOB Painting of the Year.
He paints and teaches from his studio in Kuala Lumpur.
